REFRAME is an architectural practice that focuses on innovative problem solving based on existing premises, by focusing on simple and effective alternatives.

The approach of our studio is based on IDEO method : Design Thinking and Human Centered Design.

Daniel C. Tabacaru has worked with processes in building industry during his 14 years of practice and meanwhile has taken his coach certification in Design Thinking. During the years Daniel has worked togehter with and for Saunders Arkitekter, Link Arkitektur, Cubus Arkitekter, EN til EN arkitekter Hille Melbye Arkitekter , Pilot Arkitekter, Architectopia, ÅF engineering, NTNU og Sweco Norge and for many clients among them Thon Gruppen, Thon Hotels, Statoil, Profier and many more.

The changes that we face as a society require a re-framing of the brief, and looking for innovative solutions based on a strict budget and deadlines.

REFRAME has collaborated along time with different architectural and engineering companies, from house extensions to apartments, offices and urban planning. That broad experience gives us a solid understanding of the requirements but also the importance of the cross-disciplinary approach early in the process.

For the time being the office is working on different scale projects from cabins and houses to office refurbishments.

The office has a extensive network of collaborators (architects, urban planners and engineers) and therefore we can scale up according to the time frame and complexity required by the project.

REFRAME arkitektur has The Norwegian Competency Certificate, Grade 2 (Sentralt Godkjent tiltaksklasse 2) from the National Norwegian Building authority (DIBK.no).

In our office we have BREEAM NOR certification AP, BREEAM Communtiies certified consultant from BRE UK, ENOVA certified consultant and Design Thinking coach (cross disciplinary processes).

In REFRAME we are using BIM as a daily approach to our projects and REVIT, among other Autodesk products,is the main tool to design our ideas and details to put them into practice.

The interdisciplinary approach led to having also desinger as part of our team, to be able to gain an extra layer of understanding both the communication with our clients, but also a different angle to the dynamic of digital platforms.
