In June 2019, together with quite a large Norwegian group, representing Circular Norway, Building Smart Norway, IBM Norway, Selvaag Eiendom, Flokk, Regnskap Norge, Norwegian Environmental Ministry, and many more.
It was fascinating to see such a diverse interest into what Circular Economy will be, and how it will affect the world economy, and Norwegian economy in particular.
The main difference from other previous ones on sustainability, this one had something different and with a big impact: a lot of leaders, from the Dutch Environment Minister, to the directors and CEO of banks, financial institutions, companies and NGO´s, all with the same interest: circular economy and how the world could get for the traditional linear system to a circular and integrated one.
All this was possible mainly because of SITRA, the Finnish state owned investemnt fund that has as a focus the well being of Finnish people, and to secure the well being of the next generations. Really impressive to see how far they ave got, and not only on implementing sustainable solutions, but also creating new tech companies and a startup environment in Finland, and particularly in Helsinki.
Some of the sessions were streamed, and therefore they will be posted here in the following weeks.
The first one, that I have really enjoyed was about data, and we take decisions, what do we base them on, and how understanding the interlaced compelxity of data, might lead to better and more sustainable solutions.
